Facebook ANE (Android+iOS)
No matter how cool your mobile game is, it must be seen by users in order to be successful. Facebook as one of the major social networks has provided mobile developers with a very enhanced SDK and you as an Adobe Air developer can have access to all these cool features through our Facebook ANE.
Facebook Air Native Extension, lets AS3 developers access all of the cool features that Facebook SDK natively offers. Such as login/logout users, ask users for custom permissions, share, game requests and etc…
Below are the main highlights of this native extension:
- • Login/logout users to your game/app
- • Ask users for custom permissions based on your app logic
- • Share URL links directly from your app
- • Share content privately through the Messenger app
- • Send Game Requests to friends
- • Support App Events for use in Facebook Analytics
- • Full access to Facebook Graph API… sky is the limit!
- • 100% identical AS3 API for Android and iOS
- • Always up to date
Login/logout users to your game/app
You can let your users sign in to your app/game easily without worrying about entering their sign-up information wrongly. Facebook has already taken care of it all. All you have to do is to place a login button in your app and use the Facebook ANE to login your users. After they login, their personal information will be returned to your app.
Ask users for custom permissions based on your app logic
Depending on the logic of your game, you can ask for different permissions. Facebook ANE lets you ask for many different permissions from accessing the user email address to posting to their walls! And the good thing about it is that it lets you decide when you need more permissions, so you don’t have to scare your users at the beginning of your app!
Share URL links directly from your app
You can use built in methods inside the Facebook ANE to let users share any links you like without leaving your game. And even more interesting, you can let users share content privately with their friends using the Messenger app on their devices.
Send Game Requests to friends
Sending Game Requests is one of the coolest features in Facebook SDK which it lets your users send app invitations gifts and requests; right from your app. A great way to engage users with your app.
Support App Events for use in Facebook Analytics
App Events help you understand the makeup of people who engage with your app. By logging an activation event, you can observe how frequently users activate your app, how much time they spend using it, and view other demographic information through Facebook Analytics for Apps.
Full access to Facebook Graph API… sky is the limit!
To make sure you have full access to whatever Facebook has to offer, we have also prepared the required Actionscript API methods for you to directly access the Facebook graph API. You would never feel limited as an Air developer as anything that a Java or an Objectove-C programmer can do with the Facebook SDK, you can also do and even easier! Don’t take my word for it. Download the ANE right now and make sure to read the tutorials to see how easy it is to work with this ANE.
